Hello friends:
My Laptop is Dell Vostro 3550 on which Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is installed.
I can't configure it's big touch-pad (ALPS GlidePoint) properly. Due to this ALPS touch-pad, pointer jumps and display flickers (very annoying).:(
After using external usb mouse, the problem disappears. But always using external mouse is cumbersome.
I am getting the error :
touch: cannot touch /opt/tsrm/compliance/cme/log/20121207.log: No such file or directory
on the touch command: touch $LOGFILE
I also checked the link : touch: cannot touch `foo': No such file or directory
But dint understand the answer.
Note: Also I was getting "mkdir: cannot create directory" , fixed this by adding -p option.
They light up but don't respond to touch also the row above like where the phone/contacts/text/browser isn't responding to touch
also weird is CMW touch is not working touch any ideas how to fix?
Hi there,
I've got this funny idea which i'd like to try out if it exists:
is it possible to have the touch-pad of my laptop (Dell Vostro 1510) to emulate a touch-screen?
The touchpad would be a miniature representation of the screen. For instance: pressing the touchpad on the top-left would move the pointer and press in the top-left of the screen accordingly.
Is this possible? Say yes :)
I would like to buy Microsoft Touch Mouse but I don't know if it's going to work. I am interested especially on the multitouch functions (gestures) and touch scrolling. Have anyone tested it on Ubuntu?
I have a dual boot laptop with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.10 loaded.Things have been working fine
I am using Ubuntu 11.10 from past 1.5 years, recently I came up with this problem that the touchpad stops responding to movement i.e.
I am interested in buying Rapoo Wireless Touch Optical Mouse T6.
As killer feature it has:
Intelligent Multi-Touch technology brings a creative driving gesture
for mouse.
Will it work under Ubuntu 12.04?
Thank you!
Hi everyone. I just installed Ubuntu on my HP Dv4 2153cl and i'm having some issues with my touch pad. the mouse is not moving as fluid as it does in Windows and randomly freezes. Also, my touch pad scrolling is not working. Hope someone could possibly help me out with my problem, I'm still new to Linux (but still glad i've made the switch). Thanks!
Hello,
I have this issue on my Acer 3820TG laptop. When using the fn key to disable the touch pad, the keyboard stops working as well until you restart the laptop. Using the keys to re enable the touch pad works, but the keyboard still doesn't work until the reboot. I have reinstalled and get the same issue, and linux Mint also gets the same issue.
Thank you in advance.
