I usually use chrome and Firefox for browsing. I also open many tabs (around 40 in both some times).
The problem I have occurs when I resume the PC after having suspended it: It takes from 2 to 5 minutes sometimes to just get back normally.
Does this have to do with memory usage not properly resuming? Is it a bug in Chrome/Firefox or Ubuntu itself?
After some kind of update, my Google Chrome got all rascally and now all it does is kill my network connection. That means that even when I have both Firefox and Chrome running, Chrome can somehow screw up the connection so that Firefox doesn't work. So I'm back to Firefox only for the moment. I really want both.
I have been using Chrome on my Samsung Galaxy Exhilerate ever since I got it. I noticed the Chrome was remarkably slower than my default Browser. My question is, who all has downloaded and used Mozilla Firefox? I enjoy the UI of Firefox much more than Chrome. As far as I've used Firefox, the speeds seem to be greater than or equal to Chrome. What's everyone else's opinion?
Custom built PC doesnt work with Ubuntu. I tried 9.04 i belive. and I havent tried 9.10 yet.
But I get poor preformance and horrible slow/bad internet connection and I am on a wireless T3 network.
Works great on my laptop. no problems. its a hp dv67XX
Now I want it on my desktop because I love it so much.
I'm about to reinstall Windows, so I thought that I'd try Ubuntu out on a partition just for fun.
My question is, how large should my partitions be for each of them?
Hi all,
Ubuntu 12.04 desktop 64bit
Just installed Chrome after removing Firefox which crashes continuously after start. But I couldn't figure out how to make top tags on Chrome larger (please refers to attached screenshot).
Please advise how to config it on Chrome OR on Ubuntu?
Hi Folks,
I have kind of an odd situation. Fresh install of Ubuntu with a Chrome download from google.com/chrome. My webcam's activity light keeps flickering when Chrome is running. Chrome is also very slow No extensions other than Lastpass and Xmarks. I've never seen Chrome do this before. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan
I have Dropbox installed on my Ubuntu desktop 12.10, I also have Firefox and Chrome installed. Chrome is my default browser, I have checked in my mimeapps.list and its all correct.
