I think I'm going to be getting myself a Nexus 7 for Saturnalia...The biggest problems I have with it: lack of SD expansion slot, lack of HDMI out, and lack of rear camera, are all things I can probably live without.By the time I actually need those things there will probably be a tablet out that meets all my specs perfectly...
OK, so you've heard me say in the past how unreliable and inaccurate the Distrowatch.com rankings are, and I still stand by that assessment. However, a lot of people like to use that as a metric in gauging the "success" (or lack thereof) of a distro, even though it's only based on page visits and downloads.
One of the most miserable aspects of my day job is the need to occasionally investigate problems with machines scattered in remote locations all over the world that don't have network access to the outside world. Sometimes its possible for local staff to tether over a 3G or similar modem to provide access, but often thats not possible due to lack of signal or lack of technical ability on site.

I am trying to make a usb backtrack but run into problems cause when I start unetbootin I can not see the USB drive.
I have made sure the drive was mounted. I also tried unmounted.
I did a reformat of the usb stick, fat32. Did not help either.
From within puppy linux I can see the usb drive and I see that the drive is empty.

I installed openSUSE a couple of weeks ago but didn't use it until 2 days ago. It was the latest version when I installed it.
To my surprise there wasn't a gcc or pppoe installed. Or at least there wasn't a command line begging with ppp.
