I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04, and after wake up from suspend,I got a black screen, but the computer is in running . I didn't have this problem in the previous release (Oneiric). I have an Acer Extensa 4420 laptop.

I have an Acer C7 chromebook on which I have installed Chrubuntu. Everything works great except that the SD card reader doesn't work when the computer is running from battery power. It recognizes the card and works perfectly as soon as I plug it into AC power.
Is there a power management setting somewhere that I need to toggle to be able to use my SD card reader on battery power?
ACPI CPU temperature on my Acer Extensa 5630 is 75C when system idle (65/50 on cores) in Ubuntu 9.10. In Debian I have 45/40C and in Windows XP it is also normal. CPU fan works on high speed every time. CPU freq controller is running, 99% CPU is free and lm-sensors work correctly. I have the same problem in Fedora 11. What could you advice me?
