can be used as mobile broadband connection or used with gammu/wammu to send/receive SMS messages and phone call's. there is a problem with USB charging if the phone is totally empty (it will only charge with the original charger)
I have the UMTS Stick Huawei E160 with a prepaid SIM card from tchibo/O2 in Germany. The prepaid SIM allows daily flat-rates at a reasonable price however I need to send and receive a SMS (short message service) in order to book the daily flat-rate.
Hello to all. I am here because i need help urgent.
I had installed Ubuntu 11.10 and then gammu smsmd for receiving and storing the sms messages from gsm modem to pc. The message is now received in gammu smsd database.
but the main problem is to sort the sms messages accordingly.
Also is there any option of receiving sms and the received sms will be separated by some separators.
I created cyanogenmod 9 rom for Manta mid08, but it should work with other tablets with Allwinner/Boxchip A13 SoC.

It is now working on Ubuntu 9.10 out of the box, though connection is done by "Network Manager", Its built-in driver is for Windows only. Use "Wammu" software to access the Phone Tools. Need to input 2 terminal lines in Ubuntu 9.04 before it will work.
