Hi I have a strange problem on ubuntu 10.04 and ubuntu 9.10,
the bttv card I was able to install and make it work by creating the file
/etc/modprobe.d/bttv.modprobe
and adding
options bttv card=77
Now I can see cameras via xawtv however it randomly freezes after some seconds, apparingly even earlier when the signal is disturbed.

Hi, I cannot find an updated driver for a webcam Logitech Quickcam E 2500 webcam. It doesn't work with Cheese nor does it work with Skype. I'm using Lubuntu 12.04 LTS. I have tried the packages qc-usb-utils (utility programs for the QuickCam Express driver) & qc-usb-source (source for the QuickCam Express driver) without a result.

Trying to get a VX-1000 webcam to work on Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala). It isn't working in cheese or in skype, displays strange looking green.
Was trying to get GSPCA installed but I found on a forum that it is included in the kernel now.

logitech quickcam messenger not detected by fedora 10 x64.
i've checked the rpmfusion & livna repo's in hopes of finding kmod-gspca, but there is none.
is there any way to get logitech quickcam messenger to work in fedora 10 or 11? or is this webcam unsupported?
I've latest ArchLinux installed with v4l-utils 0.8.8-1 and gspca_zc3xx webcam driver v2.13.0 . The driver is installed as a kernel module, and I can detail it with modinfo gspca_zc3xx command. This driver version is now outdated, and it doesn't support correctly Auto Gain and Exposure controls in my webcam Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX.
