Suddenly after Ubuntu freeze I am unable to connect to my router. I have already reset my router but nothing has happend. If i connect my ubuntu with my andriod wlan router it works fine. I have tried lot of things: changed router setting, restarted network- manager, deleted old networks and there is no black list on my router, turned off power management etc.
My laptop's wireless card cannot keep bluetooth and wlan on/connected at the same time under Linux.
Each and every distro I've tried shows the same behavior.
It works fine on this machine under Windows, where a little GUI window is toggled by pressing Fn+F3. That window has 2 GUI switches that allow for switching wlan and bluetooth on and off independently.
I had some problems to get the wifi connection work on my Dell Latitude E5400.
I could easily create the connection to my wireless LAN via the network manager applet, got an IP but that was all.
I could not ping any other network device or access the internet.
Finally I found some kind of solution: When I disconnect (apparently important to do that first!), unload the iwlwifi &
BCM4313 chip on my laptop. When using the Broadcom STA (wl) driver, wifi connects successfully to the Netgear N150 router but when I ping the router (192.168.1.1) it says Host Unreachble. If I connect to any other wifi router like D-Link or Linksys (or even tethered android phone) everything works fine.
