((Yes. this is another wireless mouse-thread. I see several threads on issues with wireless mice, but when it comes to RF (Radio) mice it's mostly on glitches and tweaks. I only see threads on BT not working at all. So, this is one about a non-BT mouse that is not working at all.))
Hi.
I have a Dell Studio 1715 laptop, which comes with bluetooth, webcam, fingerprint reader, everything. I enjoyed ubuntu a lot in this laptop.... until I met this problem.
I bought a bluetooth laser mouse, which didn't work for me before. Can't remember the brand... now it happens all over again with a brand new mouse, so it can't be the mouse itself.
I bought a wireless mouse on ebay (Optical RF 2.4GHz Wireless Mouse with RF USB Receiver) but it won't work on my Dell PC running Ubuntu 11.04 (Lubuntu).
I tested the mouse on Windows and it works fine.
When I re-checked the item description it says the mouse is for Windows, no mention of Linux.
Is there any way to get this mouse working on my PC?
This is the exact mouse I bought: http://cgi.
UNR on acer aspire one work fine for me but there is this weird problem about my mouse.
An old mouse i had worked perfectly find but a brand new mouse i bought had this strange problem.
I installed Ubuntu 11.10 alongside windows 7. It installed.
Slackware 12.x, xorg.conf, fvwm95, generic 3-button scrollmice, both known to be working. USB ports work for various other USB devices -- card readers, portable drives, etc.
I can't get behind my machine to disconnect my ps2 mouse (long story -- ps2 mouse was removed once, but USB mouse still didn't work), but I'd like to add a (wireless, if possible, but not necessary) USB mouse.
I have a microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse. After some time, i got it to pair with my laptop (Ubuntu 12.04 64). BUT the pointer doesn't move and the buttons work only marginally. The mouse is a laser mouse so it should work well on any surface- this one isn't working at all..
Is there something I'm missing? Has anyone else had this problem? did I really get the one bad mouse of the bunch??
TL;DR If you're using 12.10 64-bit and your mouse clicks seems to stop working occasionally, try removing your AE1000 wireless adapter and logging off/on.
I'm using 12.10 64-bit, and I have been occasionally getting into a situation where my mouse clicks work on very little.
one of the things i miss from windows is being able to scroll sideways by pressing the mouse wheel to one side. i have a Microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000 so it might be just a Microsoft thing, but Ubuntu seems able to do just about everything :)
is there some way to enable this?
Thanks!
