I am using Dell Dimension E521 for PC. I have Fedora 17 on it. I also have Oracle VM VirtualBox installed with XP 32 Bit.
In Bios, I am using "Disable on board sound card and use external one" for the past eight years :) However, in VirtualBox that I have just installed it found my on board sound card as "Intel HD Audio".
After posting my last topic my mouse stopped working again. It's plugged into USB. Computer is a Dell Dimension E521 with nVidia graphics card stock.
Dell doesn't seem to be able to help me with this problem, so I thought I would look for help here. Ubuntuforums is always a dependable place.
Hi,
currently I'm using my Dell Vostro 1710 which has a Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS Graphic card.
Installed is a Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.
Is a graphic card temperature from 65° - 75° normal?
I only use the notebook for Software development.
I have been trying forever to use the S video to my TV, but it refuses to work. I can see the picture on the tv, but it flickers and scrolls. It is also in black and white, but on a actual monitor everything is fine. I changed all the settings in display to see if anything works yet it refuses to. Not sure what to do at all. Really want this to work so I can finally see it on the TV.
I have concluded that the Ubuntu 10.04 LiveCD Install and/or gparted have messed up the HDD on my wife's computer. Those of you who are married will appreciate this is serious.
Hardware: Dell Dimension 8200, RAM 1GB, HDD 80GB, nVidea Display card
After almost 10 years the original XP was slow so I wiped it and reinstalled XP Pro SP3 from a Dell OEM CD.
Let me get started,
First of all I moved from Fedora, because it had issues with my graphic card driver.
I need these driver if it is possible. ( Don't say G00GLE IT, Please)
-BCM4312 (rev1) [please don't link me to ndiswrapper or that kind of lame emulation. i want decent working driver from broadcom that will list all the features in iwconfig)
I have installed openSuse 11.2 recently and I am getting distortion on my dual display. I have the nVidia GeForce Go 6150 video card and installed the nVidia drivers from the Opensuse site.
I've installed Ubuntu 11.04 onto an old Dell to use as a development system and also added an EVGA GeForce 6200 PCI card because the system only has PCI slots. I just want to augment the graphics hardware enough to try out the Unity desktop, get respectable video performance, etc.
