I was able to get Epson Stylus TX111 working with Ubuntu 8.04, with all updates installed. This method assumes you have CUPS installed.
It is important to use CUPS for adjusting final settings for this printer.!!
This method is useful for a large number of Epson devices.
Procedure:

Sorry to post an answered question, but this site is google favorite, and I would like that this goes as easy as it can be for other users, so I'm hoping that if anybody searches for Epson Perfection V100 Photo for linux or Fedora Epson Perfection V100 finds this page.
All the trick is to go to http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/scan/DL2.do

I just got a good deal on an Epson stylus nx415 printer/scanner/copier, and tried to install it. When I plugged it in, I was given a list of drivers to chose from. The closest thing was the epson stylus 410, which I tried, but it did not work. Firing up Xsane after that gave me a message that said "no devices available".

Hi, scanning doesn't work (usb or wireless) with 'all in one' EPSON Stylus TX420W. I'm using ubuntu 10.04 and have already installed the driver (epson-inkjet-printer-nx420_1.0.0-1lsb3.2_amd64.deb) from AVASYS at
http://avasys.jp/eng/linux_driver/do...n-inkjet/escp/
I'm running ubuntu 10.04.
Printing works fine.
I was having a problem getting an Epson Sylus NX215 to work. Following the FAQ on the Avasys.jp site got it working. Here is the link:

Epson Stylus NX420 on home network.
Fedora 17 64 bit.
I can print fine, just cant scan over the network. I used to be able to when I had Linux Mint, but cant seem to get it to work in Fedora. No, I'm not going back to Linux Mint.
I would buy this scanner (Epson Perfection V30). I know it works with proprietary drivers and for me it's ok if they work good.
I'd like to know if you recommend it as my new scanner.
Does The Image Scan application have all the XSane features?
