Be aware that each language pack installed here at the openSUSE forums comes with it's own encoding. (UTF-8, ISO-8859-1, ISO-8859-2, etc.) In order to properly see the content in a specific language forum, you need to select that language. You can select it in the footer of any forum page, OR you can set your default language in the "Edit Options" section of the User Control Panel.
Sorry, has been discussed before, but will stay as is (if you want to read the detailed discussion about this, please check "meetings" in the wiki). There are many International sites setup for Chakra already, most are linked through the appropriate language "sticky".
I've been noticing something this last week, and just heard from another forum user that they are having the same issue.
I want to create a crawler that scans one single web page and sends me an email in case something is wrong on the page (the page holds some webservers' status - Up/Down).
What would be the best language to write such a service in?
I've considered PHP or Python, but as they are interpreted languages (+PHP has a max time limit that a script runs), I don't think they're the best fit for this.
Also
A customer brought up in a ticket that we should retool Horde to avoid having to select a language every time one logs into Horde.
The man page for ld makes reference to AT&T’s Link Editor Command Language, however a Google search does not offer a satisfactory explanation as to what AT&T’s Link Editor Command Language is or was, other than pointing to said man pages, whereas I expect a Wikipedia page coming up in the first five results.
It seems like there is a vital piece of computing history missing here.
I am facing a very strange behavior in Ubuntu 11.04, As in normal cases when ever we change language at the time of login its change its locale variable and it use to set that selected language as the default language in "Text" tab of the Language Support up till the Ubuntu version 10.10, But in Ubuntu 11.04 its not the case.
I am trying to install ubuntu server on my pc , i have burned the ISO to an Cd and tried to burn it on a usb, in both cases it hangs at "Select a language" i cannot move nor select anything.
I have try several things but I do not know how to get past this, could anyone please help?
