When I first bought this phone, I understood that it came with Android 2.3 operating system ("Gingerbread"). But since the latest version is now 4.2, I was looking to update it, which I imagined would be as simple as updating any version of anything on my computer.
I'm still on 10h firmware and there's no OTA update available. The LG Support Tool doesn't include the T-Mobile P880 in the list of Supported Models and even after installing the drivers 'succesfully' it won't update.
What's the best way to upgrade the phone? Am I missing something or do I need to flash the Euro Open KDZ?
I have got an update on my S3 i9300,
i think it must be JB, should i update it, any drawbacks of updating?
As i updated my old xperia from 2.2 to 4.0 it slowed my phone
so will S3 be effected in any sense if its updated to JB?
I hope someone can answer this question. My first impression is HTC updated my phone with a huge update but didn't really change much on the phone. For example, as I understand, Android 4.4 introduces native platform support for printing, along with APIs for managing printing and adding new types of printer support.
Ive had my s2 some 6months now and only managed to update it once, i try to update over the air, it downloads the package ok, restarts to phone, attempts to install, gets to about 50% then tells me to plug the phone into kies to update
I plug the phone into kies to update and it says theres no update, nor does it now even allow me to check for a update now kies updated itself
My Samsung Note 3 just updated itself to android 4.4 which surpised me because I didn't think it was out in the UK yet. Anyway I installed the update checked it was updated and the top tray has changed all the icons are white but that's about it, I don't have any new apps, no "New phone app".
I'm a current Samsung Galaxy Note 3 user, SM-N9005. I've heard people saying that 4.4.2 KitKat is now available to be updated on my phone. But, when I search for updates, there are none, and when I search it on Kies, there is a firmware update!
