As we already knew, Verizon’s version of the Galaxy S III has a locked bootloader, but you didn’t think Samsung did that on purpose did you? Verizon has never been a fan of unlocked bootloaders, which always amazed me that they allowed the Galaxy Nexus on their network.
i have a galaxy nexus Verizon i have had many phones unlocked rooted and romed many of them but i have never had this problem before i whipped data and both cache then i flashed the paranoid droid rom on my phone the other day then the gapps they provided rebooted and then rebooted my phone and never got any service so i put my sim card in my galaxy s3 and still no service looked online at the Ver
I read this on PhoneArena today. Has anyone tried this yet? Or have plans to try it? I'm a Verizon S3 owner that has been having terrible signal issues and dropped calls. I've already switched the phone out once and the SIM card twice.

I am a doctor who is required to be on call. I've owned a Galaxy Nexus since day one and LOVE it... but my signal issues have been horrible. I've rooted, I've updated, I've done everything... but I am still being plagued by Missed calls (phone will never ring) from my answering service... long story short. I'm changing carriers and phones.
Was on Verizon.
Hello Guru's,
I just bought the Galaxy Nexus from someone who was on Verizon Network.
I saw that it uses micro sim card, so thought this would work with at&t.
I unlocked the phone and rooted it too. But still the att sim card does not work on this phone..
Are there two kinds of Galaxy Nexus? Once for CDMA/LTE and other for GSM?
Thanks in Advance
I saw the Galaxy S3 is up on ebay deal of the day today, but is this for AT&T or Verizon?

I currently have a galaxy nexus rooted with AOKP and franco kernel. I would like to use the tethering feature, but from everything I read it is 1) not easily possible and 2) not a good idea.
I would like to keep my phone rooted, but pay the $30 fee to use verizons hotspot. The only problem is that there are no verizon apps installed on my rooted phone.
I'm thinking of switching to PlatinumTel from PagePlus, and instead of non-4G Verizon phones for PagePlus, PlatinumTel uses any Unlocked GSM phone.
They use the Tmobile network, so they said a locked tmobile phone should work, but might not.
