hello,
after reading this: What Verizon's FCC tethering settlement means to you (FAQ) | Mobile - CNET News
I thought I'd be able to tether my phone with legal apps such as foxfi. I can't seem to use it, and a number of sources have told me that i still need to enable the wifi tethering service with verizon in order to get those apps to work. but that conflicts with the above link!
Hi, I recently got my hands on sprints LG Viper 4G LTE where I'm having issues with tethering.
I've tried foxfi including the newest version, where I was able to connect with my computer, but I was unable to receive and transmit any data. I even tried wifi-thering where I was unable to locate the phone on my computer.
Hi, I've been looking for something like this for a while and tried pretty much all the options on google. And my last hope, PdaNet with FoxFi addon has failed me too, so I've pretty much run out of options.
So, what I'm looking for is to turn my GN into a wireless router without my network detecting that I'm doing so.
Been testing my new phone (HTC Wildfire S, Android 2.3.5) and found USB tethering with wifi works fine but 3G does not. With 3G tethering I can connect but no data is transferred. I suspect this is an issue with the phone rather than #! but wanted to check here anyway.Anyone experienced this or have ideas?
Well, up until recently I was using Open Garden for my tethering needs. Now fir some reason K cannot even get it to establish a WiFi signal, let alone even attempt to try and connect my tablet to it.
I know some people have complained of the standard "tethering warning" that can occasionally come up, but i have never seen that.
I currently have a Galaxy Nexus on Verizon with Unlimited data. My question is in regards to the WiFi tethering with the Nexus 4. On my GN I currently use Fattin WiFi Toggle to get around the Verizon Tethering Fee. I use between 10-50 GB a month in tethering. This is primarily for iPad tethering for wathcing Netflix and iPod tehering for music.
In preparation for Jellybean breaking Foxfi's wifi tether I've been playing with Bluetooth and I have a question that I can't answer
When connected to foxfi on Bluetooth, many apps on my nexus 7 don't recognize the internet connection.
I recently upgraded from an LG Optimus One phone to a Galaxy Nexus. On my Optimus One, USB tethering worked flawlessly. However, I flashed tons of different ROMs to find the ones that worked better than others. Some didn't work at all. Some were flaky.
I'm currently using AOSPA 4.2.2 PARANOIDANDROID 3.5 (May15) α5 with 3.0.75+-RUBIK-AK-r30 kernel. Wi-Fi tethering works perfectly.
Has anyone tried this?
