Hey all. I own a Kyocera Rise and tried rooting it. I had SuperSU at first and then I was able to switch to Superuser. However I've been reading through the forums and haven't found a way to properly root my phone. My wife has a Kyocera Rise also and I used the Hydro root to root her phone with no difficulties.
I'm looking to see if there are any cyanogen mod roms for my Kyocera Rise. I've used a cm on my old Motorola Backflip and loved it. I had gone back to dumbphones until just last week when I got my Virgin Mobile branded Kyocera Rise. If you know of any info, please let me know. I can't find anything about it anywhere on the web, which makes me think there is not one in development.
I downloaded Font Installer on my Kyocera Rise and I attempted to change my font. Soon after installing the fonts it required a reboot and the phone is on a bootloop due to that. When i go to system recovery, at the very bottom it says: E:Cannot load volume /misc . Any help would be appreciated!
I got my kyocera rise rooted, I set up the hotspot, all seems to be fine, it shows 'internet access' but..
Skype for example works but I cant open any webpages on the browser.
What the reason could be?
Welp either kyocera is being awesome and giving us Jelly bean or they caught wind of our root capability's and are trying to put a stop to it. I received a notification about a firmware update today and im not eager to push it so soon after getting root. If there's anyone on here that doesn't care about loosing root(Not many) then please update and tell us what its about.
My wife has a Kyocera Rise from Virgin Mobile that broke in two today after it hit the floorboards during a hard brake to avoid rear ending someone in her minivan. I'm wondering if there is any way for me to recover data from the internal memory?
I recently rooted my kyocera rise and tried downloading fonts. Like a dummy I check marked all the boxes for replacing fonts and then got stuck in a boot loop I don't have a custom recovery bootloader thingy so I can't just flash new rom and when I connect my phone to the computer it doesn't reconize it.
I am new to Android phone. I have been using a Kyocera Rise, using Android 4.x and a Samsung Proclaim using Android 2.3. The phones have similar hardware specs but the Kyocera is far more responsive vs. the Samsung.
I was wondering if the speed improvement is due to the newer version of Android on the Kyocera. Eg. Will v 4.x provide better speed on a device vs.
