http://www.ubuntuhcl.org – It is now working on Ubuntu 9.10 out of the box, though connection is done by "Network Manager", Its built-in driver is for Windows only. Use "Wammu" software to access the Phone Tools. Need to input 2 terminal lines in Ubuntu 9.04 before it will work. (Hardware)

3G dongle Huawei E1550 is able to make voice calls using huawei app in windows. With search I found the same app for linux (called Mobile Partner), seems it's working and makes calls but without sound (tested on several machines). Is there any other software for making voice calls with this modem?

I am facing a peculiar problem with 12.04.

In Ubuntu 12.10 USB-modem Huawei 171 from MTS is not connected to the network. First on the message "Are you registered on the network", immediately after that, "You are disconnected from the network." This happened after there was an internal error notification Ubuntu. I'm trying to get to my phone's filesystem through USB in Wammu, but I'm stuck in the configuration wizard when it asks for a USB device name.

But the problem is it is not connecting internet through my Huawei E173Bu-1 3G modem i tried by creating new connection

it says connecting ....

Recently I bought a huawei e303c modem . It works perfectly in windows 7. While using in Ubuntu it is not detected or recognised even after installing drivers successfully. I followed the instructions from the guide (cant attach). But still no recognition.. Also the huawei mobile is coming under wired connection and is faded (not highlighted). Wat should i do to fix this.. ??? please help

I have a ZTE-AC2726 Broadband USB MODEM and I am having a problem connecting.

It used to work perfectly well with Previous versions of Ubuntu but not with 12.04, which I am currently using.

I need help is establishing connection and I don't know where to start looking. Network-Manager, Modemmanager and usb_modeswitch are all in place. Network manager detects my said device as modem...
