http://www.linuxquestions.org – i have the huawei 1550 3g modem (prepaid) tele2 and a nokia 5800 both working on on other dists,installed vwdial and vwdialconf finds the nokia and and recognize it as a modem.vwdial connects and hang up kppp same story. what is the deal with the phone? i have all the settings right it should really just work. And the usbmodem it seems like i need usb_modeswitch but i cant compile i properly and the slackbuild is broken/old. ive googled and i cant find a solution for slackware? (HowTos)

I want to connect my nokia handset with DKU-2 cable in linux. Is anyone done this. Is there anything like Nokia PC suit for redhat linux.

I run: # hciconfig -a But no result returns

Tired of not knowing anything except Windows. Bought a Dell mini with Ubuntu 8.04 installed on it and I'm working on learning Unix from the command line. This Forum ought to be helpful once I get a little further along.

I have been looking around for info on this and so far it doesn't look good. Dell's site gives nothing. Other Linux forums either say it just won't work or it might work listed as a Lexmark printer (nobody said which one that I could find). Consequently, I come here to the source of all wisdom Slackware and ask the question; has anyone installed this and gotten it to work properly?

I am running Fedora and Redhate Ent 5.

Its not in the repo's. Its not in anything online that actually works. If i download the pack i either have the older versions of required packages or I dont have them all together. Now i cant get on any of the servers I did before because they upgraded, and I cant.

Trash, USBs, filesystem, etc.. These icons are on my desktop, but I can't for the life of me find where that option is..

I want them gone, anyhow. Any suggestions?
