I'm in the process of configuring a sort-of Beowulf cluster, the major difference being that I want to be able to add nodes from any network. Because of this I can't run DHCP on the server to inventory all the nodes.
New nodes would run a package or script to configure SSH, MPI, NFS and the like. During installation they'll require the IP address of the server.
Is it at least possible to build Hadoop cluster from Raspberry Pi-based nodes? Can such a cluster meet hardware requirements of Hadoop? And if so, how much Raspberry Pi nodes are required to meet requirements?
I understand that a cluster from several Raspberry Pi nodes being cheap is not powerful.
Getting started w/ clusters.
I've done everything in the getting started but after rebooting, I am unable to verify the cluster. (forgive me I'm new to linux) but I've had to set ricci, luci, and cman services to start at bootup. I try to start cman with the following. Below are my host file and cluster.conf file.
I have a cluster of 5 nodes and one of the clustered appliances can't bring its cluster service up with Error 1067 (the process terminated unexpectedly). But when I reset the clustered interface, service starts but then goes down again.
I have a cluster of nodes each running Supervisord. I'd like to present a unified web interface that would allow me to see the process state of each of the nodes in the cluster, and control them en masse. I.e. "stop all" would stop all processes on all of the nodes.
Has anyone worked on a cluster extension for Supervisord?
