I use KDE on Fedora 17.
There are several icons on the desktop. When the mouse cursor is on an icon a menu appears on the right side of the icon.
I never use it.
Hey folks,
I have a system with three screens running Ubuntu 11.10 86_64. Those screens are located next to each other and the X-Server is configured with Xinerama.
The screen in the middle is the main screen and all desktop-icons are located on the left one by default (files, links, ...). If I want to move one of these icons to another screen, I try to drag and drop those.
I've been having an issue with clicking and dragging icons and windows on my desktop. What ends up happening is I will click and hold on an icon and begin to drag it. The icon does not move. I let go of the mouse button, click on it again, and it immediately opens up (almost like it was double clicked).
So this is a weird little issue I've come across.I bought a new mouse and when I first used it and installed the drivers for it (its a cyborg RAT7 Gaming mouse) I was logged into my windows partition. The last time I booted into chakra my old mouse was working fine. So, the next time I booted into Chakra, I could not right click on the desktop but could left click and drag to group icons
I'm trying to setup my login desktop so the firefox icon is visible without having to click on "activities" first to get the side bar. Is it possible to put icons on this desktop?
In GNOME on 11.1, I could hold down Ctrl - Alt and then drag with my mouse to "open" the cube.
Is there a similar mouse combo for KDE 4 on 11.2? I know of the Ctrl-F11 key, but since I switch windows with the mouse, I would always have to take my right hand off the mouse to hit the F11 key...? A mouse drag is way more intuitive to me...
I am running a system running Ubuntu Oneric where i have a DVI monitor and an HDTV as my screens.
They are set up using nVidia TwinView. The monitor and TV are not side by side and the intent is to drag movies to the TV and then full screen it. The problem is that windows often open on the TV which I cannot normally view while sitting at the computer.
Trying on Ubuntu 13.04. First 2 displays on the primary card work like a champ. I've installed nvidia-current and generated my xorg file. Then I go and enable monitor #3 on card #2. Without xinerama enabled, I just get a gray screen and a big ugly X mouse cursor when mousing onto monitor #3. When I enable xinerama, after logging in I get the wallpaper and a mouse cursor, but no panels or unity.
Well this is a first for me. Im running kubuntu karmic. my laptops touch pad works fine in single screen view. But the weird item starts after i put on another monitor.
My mouse still works. but when i drag my cursor to the second monitor that works fine but for the life on me i cant get it back to the first.
