Internet measurement company comScore has introduced its Video Metrix product into Asia Pacific, and it says that Australia is the third largest video market in the region.

Social networks content creator and distributor, California-based Rock You, has appointed an Australian to head up its Asia Pacific operations as the company claims 49 million unique users in the APAC region, including 3.3 million in Australia, and looks to push further into the regional market.
Earlier this year, Rocket Internet announced the closing of a huge fund of $500 million that it would use to develop its portfolio companies in markets outside of Western Europe.
Today, one of the big backers of that fund, Access Industries, is leading a $112 million investment into two of Rocket's big e-commerce plays in the Asia-Pacific region, Zalora in Asia and The Iconic in Australia.
Video management startup Kaltura is growing fast, but it’s looking to expand even more, and has raised even more money to do so. The company has closed a $25 million Series D round of funding, which includes money from new investors Mitsui Global Investment and Orix Ventures.
AOL’s On Network, which is the company’s distribution and syndication network, has steadily grown the number of videos in its library, as well as the number watched each month by viewers. It’s now Number 2 among video properties on comScore’s Video Metrix, and is now making its video library available on more devices.
