My motherboard is Gigabyte z77-ud5h which uses Realtek ALC898 codec.

Hdmi (intel hd graphics 4000) and spdif (mobo atapi) is causing me problems on Fedora 17. I can't get sound through them.

I've installed Fedora 12 on my old box (motherboard Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3). Everything worked perfect. Then I've upgraded my box with new motherboard - Gigabyte GA-EP43T-UD3L.

After this upgrade my box started freezing after some time (any input doesn't work, network services do not respond) only system reset helps until the next freeze.

Hello all. I downloaded the 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10 .iso, and both burned it to a DVD, and copied it onto a 16 GB USB thumbstick using the startup disk creator on my ubuntu 12.10 laptop. I then tried to install it on a new computer I just built, with a Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P motherboard on it.

I am using Ubuntu 11.10 on a Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-UDH mobo. I have not had speakers hooked up until recently and now I realized there is no sound. ALSA seems to be loaded and the correct output is selected, but still no sound.

This is a brand new 64-bit PC, built around a Gigabyte Z777-D3H Motherboard and an i7 processor.

Does Unbuntu 9.10 support the new Gigabyte ga-p55 series motherboards (particularly the ga-p55-ud3 board).

I want to avoid purchasing new hardware only to discover that it does not currently work. (If it does not work now I assume problems will fixed some time in the future.)
