http://ubuntuforums.org – When my computer boots it mentions that it is trying to autoconfigure the network. This always fails. Inside the OS I can use commands like iwconfig wlan0 and it shows me info about my wireless card. It's even listed in System Information (hardinfo) but the system acts as if I have no network. I pressed the power button, it flickered blue for a second, the little green light on the front of the machine flickered on for the same amount of time, but the machine wouldn't start up. no BIOS menu, no power to the screen, nothing. Before hand, my box would connect straight away. after I turned off the beacon it sometimes takes up to a full 2 minutes or more to find it and connect. I can speed up the process by disabling the wireless adapter and reenabling through the NetworkManager icon. (Hardware)
