MC-30 motor controllerview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I am adapting a MC-30 speed controller and a 90v 8 amp dc treadmill motor for a drill press. I tried getting the speed controller to work with the motor and wire the potentiometer. Unfortunately i can not get the motor to run correctly. I used a 50k pot which had 6 pins in which i used 3 this being because i had one at hand. The motor will turn on but will turn off then back on. (Embedded)

Lincoln 369155 Oven Conveyor Control Boardview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I have a friend (cousin, actually) who has opened a pizza parlor. His ovens were used and, after only a week or so of operation, are both down. In both cases, the oven conveyor control board has failed. He has three boards, which he says are all defective in one way or another. Because he has exhausted all other options, he is bringing the boards to me in the morning. (Embedded)

Tape speed, motor control, LFO, help!view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi everyone, I'm new around these parts and I have a project I'd like some help with. I am building an effect unit using a reel to reel tape machine. It is a take on an effect created by Ken Townsend for the Beatles called ADT. It used a oscillator to control the speed of the tape machine. It had one large knob to manually vary the speed by small amounts to create the effect. (Embedded)

Using AD8561view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi, I have AD8561 IC ,and I don't know how to use it in my comparator circuit ,why it has 2 output pins ? and what is the function of the latch pin ? do I have to use it in my circuit ? for example this circuit: (Embedded)

Breadmaker - temp sensor questionview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi all. I have an old breadmaker in which the control circuit failed, which is great as I want to make my own anyway. I was planning on using a PIC microcontroller, possibly a 16f630 as I have a few, or a 16f886. The coding side should be fine, although i've never interfaced with an LCD before (think i'm gonna use a nokia 3310 screen). The one thing i'm unsure about is how to 'read' the tempera (Embedded)

i2c LCD display adapter and PIC microprocessorview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – After my recently dabbling with the o2c protocol and successfully reading and writing to a DS3231 real time clock module I discovered the i2c to LCD module driver board on eBay for as little as 99p from China. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IIC-I2C-TW...item3388ecb48f These boards connect the parallel pins of the LCD to a small daughter board which allows you to control the display using the i2c bus, (Embedded)

Bicycle Generatorsview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hello, I am trying to build a bicycle generator with my Physics students and am using a 1 wire Delco alternator. We have a gear ratio or mechanical advantage of about 60 to 1 when you include the bicycle gears and the large pulley(Rear wheel and alternator pulley. (Embedded)

Capacitors on ACview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I know the capacitor blocks DC and passes AC. My question is in AC, The capacitor charges in the positive cycles and discharges in the negative cycles? Or the discharging begins from the peaks towards 0 and similarly in the other cycle from the negative peak to 0? This concept seems a little bit tedious to understand and I'm probably looking too much into it. (Embedded)

Request for trace analysisview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi All, I have been taking some traces today of my 100MHz PCIe reference CLK, which does unfortunately have a 19" run down my board. I have been taking traces considering whether or not I should buffer it or take any other special precautions in my next revision. What I have been confronted with is really confusing me..... http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I am trying use one CD4013B as a toggle switch . PIN 2 tied to pin5 Pin3 clock to pulse varying from 0 to 12 v PIN 4,6,7 to GND Pin 14 To 12 V When I power on the circuit a glitch, generate at pin 1 , 12 V , How can I do for eliminate this effect ? Pin 1 only must be to begining at 0 V not 12 V. Thank you (Embedded)

Where to find a servo motor that moves like this?view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Watch Video: http://youtu.be/Pxn9p_Yqg2U The point of the "robot arm" in this video is to continuously tap the screen of an iPhone in order to prevent the phone from turning off (like sleep mode), without actually having to touch the phone with your finger every minute or so. You can walk away from your phone, allowing the game to continue on. (Embedded)
