[SOLVED] ssh to ubuntu machine on home networkview story

I would like to log onto the machine while at home from my laptop, with ssh, however networking is my least understood topic. http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hello all, I used the videocard Geforce 6150 nforce 430 (NV4C) without problems untill the upgrade to kernel > 2.6.32 and nvidia-drivers > 190.*. After the upgrade I can use only nv and vesa in the Gentoo x86_64 and in the Fedora 13 x86_64. When I try to install Geforce 8800 GT everything becomes good with free nvidia-drivers and with proprietary ones in both distributions. (HowTos)

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I have a temlnet problem -telnet 192.168.0.4 1004 failed. At 192.168.0.2, "telnet 192.168.0.4" make connection successfully at port 23, however "telnet 192.168.0.4 1000" does not make connection at port 1000. Please let me know how to solve this problem. (HowTos)
