li-ion vs aa batteriesview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hello. I have an rc car that has a 4 as battery pack that's makes it 6 volts, I have some 3.7v li-ion cell phone batts. So 2 of those in a series would be 7.4v with a combined current of 1800mAh. If I regulated the voltage down to 6v would they perform better and longer than the 4 as batteries? (Embedded)

transformerview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi I'm currently rewiring a transformer. I ground the top wields off and took it apart. The 120V. winding are fine and I'm stepping it down to 12V. I was surprised to find a second set of laminated iron in-between the 120V and the other two sets of windings. What is this for and should I put it back in between the 120V and the 12V when I install my new windings? (Embedded)

Help with non working transmitterview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Needing help with a 150w transmitter. Not really sure what I'm looking at and wondered if anybody does! I'm only used to little 15w ones. I have attached an image of what I have. Thanks Attached Images image.jpg (160.7 KB) (Embedded)

mosfet not switchingview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I have a project that is using a car battery for power and a 5 volt touch plate as the signal. When i connect to power and i turn it on ( touch the switch) it turns on but it does not turn off. I am not sure where to go from here. Is the resistor from gate to source the wrong value? PIR motion sensor circuit helpview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi all, I am looking to add a motion sensing circuit to a CRT clock that I recently built. I would like the sensor disconnect one of the cathode ray tube's heater wires when motion is no longer detected after 10-15 minutes in order to prolong the life of the tube. (the CRT heater is 6.3v.). I am thinking a PIR module and 555 timer that would trigger a relay to "open" the heater wire. (Embedded)

Root Locus Design Extra Credit Problem Due Tomorrow!view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – My professor gave the class an extra credit problem to try and make up for the low test average (less than 50%) from our first exam. The problem is a root locus design. The Gp(s) = 1/s(s^2+4s+5). He gave an example using a PI compensator, in which he used a K value of 3, resulting in: Overshoot:38.36% Tp=4.55 Ts= 9.04 He wants us to get a settling time, Ts, less than 5 seconds. (Embedded)

VLSI Switched capacitor not working as planendview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi everyone! Im currently working on an analogue assignment where you take a square wave and convert it into a sine wave. So the method that is suggested and looks nice is to use a sallen-key low pass amplifier. Now I have it done....if the world was ideal. (Embedded)

need help to understand fourier transfomview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – please anyone help me to understand what does it mean I have read this article but I am bit confused A Fourier transform take any function and convert it in to eqquivalent set of sin way If you plot the electrical signal going in to loudspeaker that's playing music you will say wave line where the wave are some time big and some time close together other time smaller other time further Appurt' (Embedded)

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I know I am jumping in from no where but thought it would be helpful. The thing is that I am new to PIC 16F877A and have made this simple code on PROTON IDE which is abt controlling 2 traffic signals and running a counter at the same time. (Embedded)

Efficiency of RFMD,s RF6886 HPAview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hello, We are using RF6886 power amplifier in our application. We tested RF6886 for our application. But we got very less efficiency. Current consumption was very high. The gain was also not constant. (Embedded)
