Dual supply op ampview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I've attached a schematic of a couple op amp circuits. There is a sign wave input to each of the amps. I believe the first should center the sine wave on ground. If the supply voltages were +15.5V & -15V would the output be offset from ground. The 2nd amp should amplify the sine wave. (Embedded)

LED Driver Problemview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hey all, I have purchased the LDD 1000H LED driver. Here's the datasheet: http://www.meanwell.com/search/LDD-H/LDD-H-spec.pdf I am using a 48V, 950mA SMPS to supply the driver, and I'm using a function generator to generate a square wave as an input to the PWM pin. Its currently loaded with two 27ohm (power resistors. (Embedded)

HID bootloader is good or ICSP for PIC controllerview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – i want to know that whether HID bootloader is or ICSP. As i see HID bootloder is very simple and don't need any IC in between like serial bootloader and even it need any programmer. so my basic question is is HID bootloader is good? (Embedded)

Looking for some large TO-3 heatsinksview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi guys, I'm in need of a couple large TO-3 heat sinks, preferably ones that can hold 4+ TO-3s each. There are some on ebay which I might buy, but I wanted to see if I could find a better deal first. So, do any of you guys happen to have some you'd like to get rid of? ;) Thanks, Matt (Embedded)

Error in EKG page in worksheetview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – On this page - http://www.allaboutcircuits.com/worksheets/scope1.html The vertical axis of an EKG is reported to reflect 'heart muscle contraction'. Not really correct - the EKG can only be a measure of electrical activity in the heart - so the vertical axis is always a measure of a potential difference (mV) caused by the movement of ions in the heart muscle. rewinding a motorview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I got a tacon 160 electric plane motor. its got 245kv and I'd like to rewind it if that would possibly to get it to have a lower kv and more torque. I want to put a lot of resistance on it from a standstill and not...burn it out? (Embedded)

Subwoofer amp blows fusesview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I've had a Polk speaker system with subwoofer in my home for over ten years. Recently the subwoofer blew an internal fuse. A check with an old analog ohmmeter seemed to indicate the TIP31 (Q1) was shorted. I happily replaced it AND the TIP32 (Q5). It still blew fuses. I then checked the bridge rectifier and it seems OK. I removed the two filter caps, C2 and C6, and checked them. (Embedded)

Mechanical Bull Motor Issuesview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I have a Mechanical Bull that we run at various biker events around PA and We donate half the money we make on this bull to various charities around the area. I had an issue with a motor that I was using and I am having one hell of a time finding a replacement! The current motor ran for about 5 years but has since died. (Embedded)

Better snubber?view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I am using a magnetic gate latch to hold a swing gate closed. It is rated at 24Vdc . It has a resistance of ~200 Ohms and a huge inductance. I am using it on 13Vdc, and it is taking about 3 sec before the gate can be pulled away from the latch after the current is interrupted. (Embedded)

12V SLA Float Chargerview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Here is a circuit I have successfully built for float-charging 12V Sealed Lead-Acid Batteries (SLAs). With minor tweaks, it can also be used as a float-charger for 12V flooded-cell automotive batteries. It is a variant of a circuit that is posted in several places on the Web, but with some better features, analysis and description. (Embedded)

"Engine Display" - "Display a Propulsioneview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi guys, this is my project for the maturity of this year, is called "Display Engine" ("Display a Propulsione" is the real italian name) in practice consists of a board with a row of LEDs that turn at about 33Hz by brush motor, the PIC16F876A controls the switching of the LEDs exploiting the POV effect, so we have the impression of seeing a permanent and stable image, as i (Embedded)
