http://www.linuxandlife.com – Last week, a friend of mine from Italy (who is an aficionado of indie games) introduced to me Linux Tycoon, a Linux distro building simulator game. And being a fan of Linux myself, Im obviously very interested. Yesterday, I decided to pay $4 to get this game and have spent more than an hour playing it since then. The game is actually still in beta and after the final version got released, the price will go up to $5. Linux Tycoon is available for both Linux, MacOS and Windows so you dont need to be a real Linux user to play that game and although the game is about building Linux distro, it does (Distributions)

Game Dev Tycoon, a unique game that allows players to control a gaming studio, has been released for Linux.The developers from Greenheart Games have released the game on multiple platforms, and that includes Linux.Their game made quite a splash after one of the developers has released a slightly modified version of their game, on a well-known file sharing website.

RuneSoft, a company that specializes in porting games to Linux platform, has released Cultures: Northland real time strategy game on Desura.

This is the third title they have made available for digital download. Previously, they have released 'Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood' and 'Airline Tycoon Deluxe' on both Desura and Ubuntu Software Center.

Good news for fans of truck simulator games. Euro Truck Simulator 2 will have a native Linux version.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is developed by SCS Software.

Tribal Trouble is a real-time strategy video game for Linux.

The game pits natives of tropical islands against invading Vikings.

The game was developed by independent studio Oddlabs, and has won several awards, including four top 5 positions in indie game review site GameTunnel's 2005 awards in the categories of best multiplayer game, best graphics, best strategy game and best game overall.

Few days back we reported that Linux Game Publishing is planning to bring all games in their catalog to Ubuntu Software Center and Desura. Some of their games like Sacred Gold and Majesty have already been released in these distribution services.

Now RuneSoft, another company that specializes in porting games for Linux, is planning to bring their games to Desura.

According to Phoronix, Blizzard - the company behind famous games like Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo .. - is set to release a game for Linux in 2013.
