Run 'awsetbg -i' then determine why chosen wallpaper setter, if any is found at all, is failing to load image, if there is an image at all, specified in theme.wallpaper_cmd, if there is a valid wallpaper_cmd key at all.

Nice work, I really get annoyed by the lack of abstraction in ecryptfs-utils and Ubuntu defaults being hard-coded. But you did something about it, really commendable

Really no one knows a real solution? Dave said that he "cannot reproduce any hang with the single daemon process." .. can you please tell us, how you achieve this?

Every time you see "Master" in that script, you will have to change it to the name of your microphone control, which is probably "Mic".

This is a new thing and didn't happen before, but I don't know after which "pacman -Syu" this started to happen exactly:After I enter my crecedentials in Slim and X starts up it will hang at the "grey" blank screen for like 20-30s until the desktop finally appears and the apps are loaded etc.

Looking at the amixer man page, the mapping mentioned earlier can be invoked in amixer with the -M flag. So using amixer -M [...] works in the units that you see in alsamixer. These are "more natural for human ear".
