I have an ATMEL QT600 development board. I used Virtual Box to create a virtual machine having Windows XP SP3 and installed all the development tools provided by ATMEL. However, in order to program the board, I need to attach it to the virtual machine. However, the base device never allows me that option.

I need to implement a P2P protocol in my Android App. I want to communicate with my self-build electronic module (Atmel processor).
Why does this happen? I am (this time) trying to install Atmel's gnu-avr toolchain. Atmel's web site gives the repository as http:www.atmel.no/avr32/suse/11.0/i586. I put that into YAST2's repository manager, and it comes back with "unable to create repository from URL..."
Atmel is using this week's ESC (Embedded Systems Conference) in Silicon Valley to launch two ARM-based system-on-chips (SoCs) featuring hardware encryption and authentication. Quick question, I am new to socket, so i was wondering is there a way to read data from a MCU (Atmel)? I am running a Linux and I can connect an Atmel through RS232, or USB to my computer(server). Is there a way that I can directly read the data taht is coming from MCU (USB/COM) to my computer and process them?
Cheers
