I have 2 networks that I'd like to connect with a router/firewall to filter traffic between the two. One network is on a public subnet, let's say 64.22.12.192/27 and the other network is on a private subnet 192.168.0.0/24.
I have an unfortunate complication in my network - some users/computers are attached to a completely private and firewalled office network that we administer (10.n.n.x/24 intranet), but others are attached to a subnet provided by a third party (129.n.n.x/25) as they need to access the internet via the third party's proxy.
I have previously set up a gateway/router to allow the 10.n.n.x/24 network
I set up a xl2tpd vpn server on a router, and assigned the ip range from 192.168.191.2 to 192.168.191.244, and there's local network behind the router's lan side with a 192.168.1.0/24 ip range, so I want the vpn client access the router from its wan port, then it can communicate with the local network, so how can I got it?
Hi pschaff,Thank you for the reply. It is not hard to understand the layout. [1st router with public ip address on wan, dhcp enabled with private ip Class] -> [2nd router with ... [by Gvr2600]
I run a small business network and the last couple of days I have been setting up some equipment to add VPN capabilities to our network. I've got the following set up:
Windows 2008 R2 with RRAS - 172.22.200.50
Cisco RV082 router - 172.22.100.1 / 172.22.200.1
The Cisco router only support DHCP on a single class C network; 172.22.100.0/24.
Using Windows Server 2012 Essentials.
I've got two ethernet ports. One is connected to a router which is connected to the internet. This portion of the network is fine. The router runs DHCP on the 192.168.1.x subnet, and provides a Company1 WiFi for guests, which does not have access to servers etc.
The idea is to have a second LAN, through the Windows server.
I am trying to increase my understanding of ip networking.
I have my main network with internet and DHCP which is on 192.168.x.x with a router.
Now I have set up an Ubuntu file server and i want it on a separate home network with static ip addresses range of 10.x.x.x.
I have a Cisco ASA routing a /32 of public addresses (non RFC-1812) through a private link. When the device sees the destination address it selects the private route instead of going out over the public network. This works great but I am now trying to exclude 4 IP's from the private route.
I recently changed my internet to a business plan I have a new static ip and I got 2 routers 1 is a trendnet tew 432brp and linksys router switch befsr81 I have two servers running ubuntu 12.04
Problem a:
When I type my public static ip address currently assigned to linksys router/switch from behind the router I cannot see my server I can only access from lan ip, I used to be able to edit websit
