http://serverfault.com – I have seen that the IP address of my mail server has added to blocked IP address list on http://psbl.org. I am using this server for personal use. So, it is not that much of an issue that I am, as a non IT pro, handling the server. I suspect that someone obtained the password of one of the e-mail addresses or my server got infected by a spamware. I am trying to find out if there is any sign of a spamware inside the server by using SysInternals' tools but I haven't seen anything unusual (or I don't know where and what to look). Is there any way I can inspect the SMTP traffic of my mail serve ()

I have 2 other windows servers, not in the same network, that are used for hosting client applications. Have 3 servers - web server, mail server and outbound-only email server. The outbound-only email server sends transaction based emails on behalf of the web server (password reset, contact us, etc.)

How should I set up the DNS to improve email deliverability for the outbound-only email server.

We have a mail server running Debian 5.0. It is one year old now but we want to deploy a new server with Ubuntu Server 10.04. The problem is that we want to transfer all the user mails and settings to the new mail-serverl. So all their usernames and passwords should be the same, all their mails should be transferred successfully to the new mail server.

I have a customer who has recently begun using GFI Mail protection and archiving to take care of some legal requirements to archive e-mail.

We seem to have the incoming working fine. We changed the MX records to reflect the GFI mail servers. However, I need to force my cpanel server to send e-mails from their domain to the gfi outbound smtp server.

after installation finished i faced a problem with setup mail account on Mozilla Thunderbird mail client that it show problem "Configuration could not be verified --- is the username or password wrong?" & I am sure that i typed it correctly.

P.S.

I am in charge of a small company's IT department, and am well versed in UNIX/Linux (which our server runs) but not so well versed in Windows (which many of our employees run). We have a website and a mail server hosted at http://www.hostmonster.com/.
