I recently changed my internet to a business plan I have a new static ip and I got 2 routers 1 is a trendnet tew 432brp and linksys router switch befsr81 I have two servers running ubuntu 12.04
Problem a:
When I type my public static ip address currently assigned to linksys router/switch from behind the router I cannot see my server I can only access from lan ip, I used to be able to edit websit
I've got a very weird situation.
I have a block of static IPs from my ISP. The incoming cable feeds through the ISPs Cisco router and into my NETOPIA WAN port. In Netopia config we had the WAN address set to one of the static IPs (say .158 ) and use a Netopia Server map to allow external RDP access (port 3389) to each of two internal servers (one a DC, one a TS).
I have a subnet of public IP addresses that my ISP has provided me with. They are routed through my router (how profound) that has a a static IP. I have successfully assigned the IPs from that subnet to various devices on my network. This works just fine, they get their own public IP, they can access the Internet, and the Internet can access them.
I currently have a router (Netgear WNDR3700 with DD-WRT; let's say its hostname is host1) and all the devices are behind its NAT.

My ISP is setting static IP addresses with dynamic DHCP and it's determining which IP address should I get by the hostname.

I run a small business network and the last couple of days I have been setting up some equipment to add VPN capabilities to our network. I've got the following set up:
Windows 2008 R2 with RRAS - 172.22.200.50
Cisco RV082 router - 172.22.100.1 / 172.22.200.1
The Cisco router only support DHCP on a single class C network; 172.22.100.0/24.
I have a router that has 5 static ip addresses set on it. These external static IP's are mapped to internal IP's on our LAN. We currently have no firewall or proxy set up, so I cannot monitor user bandwidth usage or block content.
I have set up an Ubuntu firewall with 2 network cards and Squid proxy and am able to connect to the internet via the firewall from a workstation within the LAN.
I have an issue with my Cisco RV082 Dual WAN Small Business Router.
Firmware version: v4.0.4.02-tm
I am having ip conflicts within the router config, I am using a DHCP server configuration with the range 192.168.1.100 to 192.168.1.254
My Gateway Router Ip is 192.168.1.99
Its asking for a DHCP ip address only in Google chrome and not I.E or Safari
There is also a TAB with RIP options availabl
I have one adsl modem/router which is not "top" of the line and it lack allot of options which I need. I was able to acquire one Cisco router recently which has all options that I need ( like DMZ, VPN, port forwarding, etc). I'm interested, if I connect the old modem/router to new Cisco router using bridge mode, will I be able to use all the features on the Cisco?
I have been running a file server on Ubuntu for a couple of years now. Recently I had to take the network down. When I brought it back up, my server lost its ip address from the router.
I can't remember how to put it back in the dhcp mode. I know that running a server in the dhcp mode isn't optimal, but my router won't allow me to assign static ip addresses.
