[ubuntu] Problems with audio and earphonesview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – This is a rather annoying problem. For some reason, when I plug my headphones into the jack on my laptop, the audio STILL comes out of my main speakers as well as the headphones. I tried out another pair of headphones just to make sure it wasn't them that was the problem, but the problem still persisted. I just want to listen to music through my headphones...:| (Hardware)

[ubuntu] problems installing wireless driverview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I can't figure out how to install the driver for my broadcom wireless card. If I boot up from the live disc Ubuntu has no problem detecting and installing my card's driver, but on my installation it doesn't autodetect it and I can't figure out how to manually install the drivers on the broadcom site. [ubuntu] Having problem installing driver for Radeon Mobile x1270view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I bought myself a MSI Wind U210 laptop several months ago and have installed Ubuntu 9.10 on it. It runs great except for my graphics card. Compiz works great but sometimes really fast video is choppy even below 480p. Since it runs great in XP I figured this must be because of my graphics driver in Ubuntu. My graphics card is a Radeon Mobile X1270. (Hardware)

[ubuntu] How do I install a USB printer?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I have a Laserjet 4L printer and can easily install it assigned to LPT #1. However, it is not connected to LPT #1 but via a USB port, as follows: Motherboard USB Port -> KVM Switch* -> USB to Parallel Cable -> Printer I think the KVM Switch is irrelevant but I have noted it here for completeness.
