Kernel disable USB ports/hubview story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Basically, I just found out inserting a SDHC card into a SD card reader (pre-SDHC) doesn't work well. When the kernel saw it, I guess it decided to disable the ports/hub that device was trying to connect to. (HowTos)

Brother HL-2040 prints empty pagesview story

It was correctly recognized by manufacturer and model and was "automagically" installed by downloading the appropriate driver.
