Screen Brightness issuesview story

If I go slowly, I can alter the brightness with the keys, but yeah, if I go up and then or go too quickly, it wigs out until I kill X. I have a Intel WM3945abg adapter that was in an old laptop and i know it works. i installed it and everything boots up fine. but when I go to connect to a network it says that both of my wireless adapters are disabled.
