When I goto sound Sound Preferences, click the hardware tab,I select Analog Surround 5.1 Output and select Test Speakers, Only the Front Right, Front Left, Front Center have the test sounds working. When I run "sudo pppd call barry-att_cingular" the blackbery does it thing, displays a message on it that the modem is in use, then I see a message on my ubuntu based notebook that it got assigned an ip address..
