http://ubuntuforums.org – I installed Ubuntu 9.04 on my Compaq CQ60 laptop. The refresh rate is stuck at 0 and the display settings shows the monitor is not detected. I have tried installing the Linux version of the driver for my video card (NVidia GeForce 8200M G) but it downloads in the form of a .run file, and when I try to run that in the terminal, the terminal just opens and closes immediately. My computer has two sound cards, one is integrated Nvidia soundcard and second one is Creative X-FI. First I plugged my speakers on to my X-Fi card which I downloaded drivers for. How ever I did not manage to bring out any audio out of it. (Hardware)
