[kubuntu] printer networking?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I know how to do it in Windows because they just taught us in class, but how do I set up a printer, connected to my Kubuntu machine by USB, to our home network so the Ubuntu and Windows computers on it can print from it? I have looked around but haven't been able to figure it out yet. Please help. (Hardware)

[ubuntu] Hardware recommendations: I want to build an Osborneview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hey everyone. I want a box that isn't quite a laptop, and can't exactly BE a laptop. I'm thinking of the old first-generation luggable from a company called Osborne, only with new hardware. I'm interested in hearing what hardware anyone knows of, or even a form factor to search for. I'm after decent hardware from decent manufacturers, but money definitely factors in here. (Hardware)

[ubuntu] How to get Optimus working on ASUS U45JC in using Bumblebee in Ubuntu 11.10view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – It took me FOREVER to get this working properly on this laptop, and I know I'm not the only linux user with this machine, so I will post a solution here. Note: This will not work if you have installed NVidia proprietary drivers. For best results, do this from a clean install, and do not opt to install restricted add-ons, as this will install the proprietary drivers. (Hardware)

[other] Replacing a laptop screenview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi, I need to replace a laptop screen. The screen's part number is B101AW03 V.0 - If you google it you will likely find the product specs, but here's what I can give you: 1024x600 WSVGA Size 10.1 The price of this piece of hardware is $50-100. That's too expensive (I only have $20); I was wondering if I could replace it with something cheaper than the exact product that came built in. (Hardware)
