Help for Power regulationview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I was designing a power supply from 60HZ using faraday's current law. I have used a coil which will give me 100A at primary 1V at secondary. It can go upto 25KA and down to 50A. I want to limit the voltage at secondary at 25V. At 25KA the secondary will be 200V. This fault current can stay up to 200mS. How can I limit this voltage at 25V across the coil. I thought of using a MOV or TVS. (Embedded)

Microwind layout Technologyview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Do anyone have experience with CMOS layout program Microwind? I have this kind of tech requirements -0.5um technology - grid =0.1u - W minimum =0.9u - L minimum =0.5u And I have no idea how can I achive W=0.9u with 0.5u Lambda. Maybe there is some option to change dimension regardles of lambda? Will be pleased for any help. (Embedded)

Preamp/buffer for gaincloneview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi, I'm about to start building my own LM3886 gainclone, only a few parts are yet to arrive. I'll use two 19.4v 6.2A transformers, and two LT1084 or LT1584 for regulation. Sources will be mainly computer and phone and my doubt is if I'll need any kind of preamp/buffer and how to implement volume adjustment, I've ordered a few OPA827, BUF634 and OPA2134PA just in case. Any thoughts are welcome. (Embedded)

ZigBee - is it worth to learn about?view story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I run across several posts and articles about ZigBee in the last weeks, so I started to read about it. Started to consider implementing a basic application to gain some familiarity. I would like to hear any comments, even if brief about actual usage of ZigBee. Simply put: is it worth? (Embedded)

Freescale MC9S08QG8 microcontroller project helpview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – This semester I had my first microcontrollers class and cant seem to get enough of it. For the classes final project my professor gave each student the choice between 4 different projects. I decided that I wanted to go through and do them all for practice. The program that I am working on takes a string of ASCII characters and sends them over the SCI and converts it to morse code. (Embedded)

capacitive touch multi-swipe to singleview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – Hi all. The title says it, but rather cryptically. Let me expound a bit... I have a guitar project, which has two momentary "physical" switches, which trigger an external unit for two different functions. These functions are essentially "use the next" or "use the previous". audio popview story

http://forum.allaboutcircuits.com – I am working on a project dealing with bluetooth audio. The audio signal is good, however, when the bluetooth module senses that the music is paused, the bluetooth module will go into a standby mode. When this happens, there is a pop that happens. The pop also happens when you press play again, and the bluetooth module wakes up. Is there a way to filter this spike? (Embedded)
