#! r20111125 tint2 doesn't close apps on right-click.Does anyone mind?view story

http://crunchbanglinux.org – It's too comfy to close an app on any desk with a single click. Tint2 did something unusually smart replacing the menu with closing the app. It was weird at first, but now I'm posting here to get this back, cause r20111125's tint doesn't work that way anymore.Other task-managers have a menu that pops up, so you can close an app with 2 clicks. Monitor fades out under certain conditionsview story

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Hello all,This seems more of a hardware issue than anything however I hope to gain some insight by posting about this problem here. Whenever I'm being presented with a screen that has little or no text (i.e.: login screen at CLI) my monitor will fade out to black. If enough text starts to fill the screen, it will fade back in. It happens consistently under these conditions. (HowTos)

How to monitor only the last n lines of a log file?view story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I have growing log file for which I want to display only the last 15 lines. Here is what I know I can do: tail -n 15 -F mylogfile.txt As the log file is filled, tail appends the last lines to the display. I am looking for a solution that only displays the last 15 lines and get rid of the lines before the last 15 after it has been updated. Would you have an idea? Thank you! (HowTos)

Shell: how to go to the beginning of line when you are inside a screen?view story

http://unix.stackexchange.com – I am inside a screen (screen -Ra). I have a long command, and I am at the end. Instead of keeping the left arrow, how can you go to the beginning of the line? CTRL-A works when I am in a normal window, but when I am inside a screen pressing CTRL-A gives me a message "No other window" - seems like CTRL-A is dispatched to the screen. How do you go to the beginning of a line in a screen? (HowTos)
