[gnome] How does gnome mount windows drives?view story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am with Ubuntu 10.04 for quite some time now. I have a dual boot system with default-dell-win-vista that i rarely use. I access windows drives by mounting them in Ubuntu. What I do: Go to "Places" ==> click on win-drive ==> It gets mounted in /media/some-name and comes to desktop also. Now I want to understand how that works. I have no rules related to it in udev. [ubuntu] ufw and dansguardianview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, I want to use dansguardian as a content filter with squid. I also want to block all outgoing internet traffic except on port 8080, so that users cannot circumvent the content filter by turning off the proxy settings in their browser. However, when I do this using ufw it basically blocks all outgoing internet traffic even if I allow specific ports. (Hardware)

No arrow/marker in solving merging conflict in GITview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am currently having a merge conflict, normally I can just manually edit them. But now, my problem is the file is not showing any arrow/marker(>>>>, <<<<< & ====) in which I could be able to edit it. The problem is that I perhaps have a lot of changes uncommited and also there is one newly-added file and one newly-created binary file. How do I resolve this? (Hardware)
