[ubuntu] AMD E-300 with integrated HD6310 Graphics - Video playbackview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hey guys. So, today I installed Ubuntu on my notebook, but the video playback performance is really bad. Youtube lags at even 720p and it does the same locally. I've installed the Ati drivers via JOCKEY or whatever it's name is, then, via their site, tried the Open Source drivers, but still. I really want to stick with linux this time even though I have a genuine copy of Windows 7. (Hardware)

[ubuntu] Sans-serif versus Arialview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Most computers are able to read Arial and Helvetica fonts. In Thunderbird, you can set your outgoing emails to display Arial/Helvetica (as s single setting). My guess is so that Macs can read your email with a font similar to Arial. What happens, however, if an Ubuntu (Linux) user receives that email, but doesn't have the ttf-MScorefonts installed?
