The desired configuration is: - one 13 GB master harddrive with dual boot from Win98 and Ubuntu 9.04 - one 40 GB slave harddrive as storage The Win98 boot option is nonessential; I'm just trying to smooth the transition. Periodically, the screen will glitch (normally just becoming a jumble) and the only way fix is to reboot the system. Everything works okay, except that while my usb mouse is detected on all ports, my two flash drives are not. one is a sandisk cruzer and the other a kingston data traveller. lsusb shows nothing when they are connected. a bios update failed to resolve the issue.
