http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello - Xsane is supposed to support the Canon lide 35 scanner. It does recognise it. But when trying to preview the scan, it returns the infamous "invalid argument" error. Has anybody solved this problem without buying a hp scanner ? (Hardware)

According to SANE and what I have found on the internet it is not really supported by linux. However I found a few reports of a company called JFL Peripherals which were apparently releasing drivers for Visioneer scanners for Linux. (Hardware)

http://ubuntuforums.org – Since switching to Karmic, suspend and hibernate are not working consistently on my Toshiba Satellite. I have it set to hibernate when I close the lid, but doing so only turns off the screen. The suspend and hibernate keys on my keyboard also no longer work. When I select these options from the menu, the computer will suspend or hibernate properly. (Hardware)

I have a Toshiba NB205 netbook and I have the classic issues that come with it being installed with Ubuntu, no bluetooth and no speaker output. Whenever I try to record my desktop with Desktop effects enabled using gtk-recordmydesktop i get little to no performance aka it completely lags. The only way to work around this is to disable all desktop effects which is not what I want. (Hardware)
