3e recovery fixview story

http://androidforums.com – So i know that there are fixes to the Froyo 3e recovery but they all require you to connect a usb. Since my usb port doesn't work(I found another way to charge my phone and transfer files) is there a way to fix the 3e recovery so that it doesn't go through a signature verification? My goal here is to try and root my captivate. Thank you! Abe (General)

General 4.1 Update Hosed My Data File Locationsview story

http://androidforums.com – Well, maybe "Hosed" is too strong a word.... But apps like Osmand+, DoggCatcher, and others - where I had specified that their data files be kept on external SD card - no longer work. Seems like the new location has to be specified as /storage/extSdCard instead of /sdcard/external_sd. Osmand+ is buying it, as are DoggCatcher and MoonReader. DoubleTwist is not. (General)

Support GN (Verizon) will not connect cannot connect with Gmail serverview story

http://androidforums.com – I did a factory reset, and something went bad. Allthough I was able to boot up, and I was upgraded from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 when I did the data wipe. Starting over, I should have had a prompt to connect with gmail and download my contacts, but this didn't happen. My People app is unpopulated, so I chose to connect to "sign into an account". General Dead SD cardview story

http://androidforums.com – I think the SD card I used in my S3 is dead. Before I buy a new one, does anyone know of anything that might fix it, or at least allow me to recover the data? And assuming it's dead, what type of card do I need. From what I remember when I got this one (dumb thing is less than an year old), was it a class 4? (General)

Windows 8 Update--then loss of all Youtube channelsview story

http://androidforums.com – Hi, Earlier tonight I turned on pc, then noticed Win 8 Updates was doing it's work. Once that settled down, I went onto YouTube and found I had lost every one of my videos that I had built up over a good few months. Is this a google thing or a Win 8 thing??. Why do Apple and Android assume everyone wants and desperately needs fb or twitter. Personally I wish they would cease to exist. (General)

Support Connection Issues with a newly purchased Xperia Pro?view story

http://androidforums.com – Hi, I had previously bought one and it worked great. I loved the phone, but due to some water damage it finally died on me. I recently purchased a new one off a friend, which was listed as unlocked. After putting the SIM card in, it seems to work great, although after usage I have discovered the network randomly cuts out. It will drop calls, or not let me make them at all. The data won't work. (General)
