But apps like Osmand+, DoggCatcher, and others - where I had specified that their data files be kept on external SD card - no longer work. Seems like the new location has to be specified as /storage/extSdCard instead of /sdcard/external_sd. Osmand+ is buying it, as are DoggCatcher and MoonReader. DoubleTwist is not. (General)

Starting over, I should have had a prompt to connect with gmail and download my contacts, but this didn't happen. My People app is unpopulated, so I chose to connect to "sign into an account". Once that settled down, I went onto YouTube and found I had lost every one of my videos that I had built up over a good few months. Is this a google thing or a Win 8 thing??. Why do Apple and Android assume everyone wants and desperately needs fb or twitter. Personally I wish they would cease to exist. (General)
