http://androidforums.com – I haven't done anything in particular to my SD card (it's the stock 2GB card, plenty of room for my use), but I've already been through rooting the phone successfully while in 2.3.4, then using CWM to install the CM7.2 ROM, I could no longer root. I was able to go back to the stock ROM, and even got rid of the yellow triangle using the 2.3.6 trick, and am currently back at 2.3.4 rooted. (General)
