http://ubuntuforums.org – Did anyone manage to boot from USB device natively? I tried to boot with my USB stick, but always get "Boot error" followed by standard boot sequence. The only way to boot with USB device is to use GRUB and enter something like Code: > root (fd0) > kernel /casper/vmlinuz file=preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper ramdisk_size=1048576 root=/dev/ram rw quiet splash (Hardware)

[ubuntu] mount usb without filesystemview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – So, I have this USB thumb drive, and I think it got its filesystem destroyed, either by electric shock for magnet (if that's possible) and I want to try and mount it before throwing it away, like, it doesn't auto-mount, and probably doesn't have a filesystem. How would I either mount it, locate it, or create a filesystem on it? (Hardware)

Switch on/off wifi and bluetooth on NC10view story

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, I have installed F11 on my Samsung NC10. Everything seems to work fine, but I would like the ability to switch off the wifi to save power when I'm not using it. It would normally be mapped to Fn-F9 but this doesn't do anything. Are there console commands that can actually power off the card, not just disable the connection? And can I map it to Fn-F9? (HowTos)
