system crash log?view story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I came in to work this morning and my OpenSuSE11.1 box was off! The only reason that could be is if the system shut itself off, because it shares power with another system that did not go through a power cycle. Is there a system log somewhere I can look at to see what happened? Thanks!!!! Patti EDIT: Found this on YaST: (Distributions)

Stupid firefox questionview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I just installed openSuse yesterday for the first time and have a dumb firefox question. I tried to install adobe flash, and it's not working correctly. I downloaded the YUM version, and told it to run the program. It did, but no flash seemed to install. When I try again with either yum or rpm it tells me it's already installed, but in firefox there is no sign of it. What am I doing wrong?? (Distributions)

Activate WLAN cardview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I have a new Dell laptop that I installed OpenSUSE on, but can't get the Dell WLAN card (Broadcom) to activate. I can see it in the hardware listing, and I can attempt to set it up using iwconfig, but when I do an ifconfig it does not show, and when I do a ifconfig wlan0 it tells me the interface is not installed. Learning Blender and Inkscapeview story

http://forums.opensuse.org – I'm looking for quality and up-to-date references (at least close to the current release :)) to learn Blender and Inkscape. Hardcover books, online books, tutorials, etc. I like resources that contain real-world exercises that you can immediately apply. I stay away from hardcover books that contain chapters on "installing" or "history". Substance not fluff :) (Distributions)
