[ubuntu] Network printer Sharp MX2700Gview story

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, I just downloaded and install Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala which was a pleasant experience. Everything was smooth and easily configured (even some of them auto configured). The problem is with the printer Sharp MX2700G (192.168.1.250). The drives are all ones i just use for additional storage so nothing is running off them so I'm thinking it is the SMART check that is making it spin up. (Hardware)

Software Update Preferences ignores preferences?view story

It looks as if, regardless of what I set, I get daily checks. Is anybody else experiencing this? Anybody got a fix?
